What did you have for dinner? Did you go out or eat in? Alone or in company?
Pasta Primavera because pasta is the greatest human invention of the millennia. Okay, that may be an exaggeration, but seriously nothing can compare to the taste of garlic, vegetables, and marinara sauce in pasta. Not to mention, cheese! I should have eaten in, but instead, I went out. I keep to myself and talk as little as possible, but just being out there, sitting among others, it's nice, you know?
I always go out alone unless I can't take it anymore and engage in a conversation with someone. I try to do that as little as possible. It's better for both of us.
What's your biggest secret? What's the biggest secret you've kept for others?
Well, it wouldn’t be much of a secret if I blabbed it all over the place now, would it? There may have been instances where I convinced humans to “fix” themselves or problematic individuals for the greater good. The same goes for otherworldlings. But hey, at least they turned a new leaf...probably.
What's your earliest memory? Good/bad? What would you change?
Wow, the earliest? I remember my mother, but vaguely. She had green eyes like mine, but she was brunette like my sister Venora and her daughter, Hazel. She didn’t smile much, but I remember her holding me on her hip as she sang and swayed to her own melody. I wish I had more memories like that, but I was about two when she died. I would have liked to have known her.
Who's your best friend? How did you meet? Memory that makes you laugh?
I’m closest to my sister, Grace. I’ve only been able to see her in person a few times because our species tries to keep a low profile. We are a rare and powerful breed, so we stay out of range from each other in case sirens are discovered and targeted.
Grace and I talk on the phone a lot though, and when the movie Grease was aired on television, we stayed on the line and watched it “together.” It was almost like she was with me and we’ve made a habit of doing movie nights frequently since then.
What's your favorite movie? Why? Who is your favorite actor/actress?
That’s nearly impossible to name. From what era? A Trip to the Moon blew my mind. We just didn’t expect humans to create such amazing things. Then there’s Casablanca with its heartbreaking romance. The age of musicals was definitely moving, especially when Mary Poppins debuted. She brought a family closer together; there’s no better ending than that! I love anything that involves people interacting with each other for the greater good, and of course, romance. Movies like that let me escape reality and make me feel like I’m part of a normal world.
Do you have a bad habit? How long have you tried to break it...or not?
Needing human or otherworldly interaction. Some of my sisters only confront humans when they need something, but I want to communicate with them. I limit myself, but sometimes I need to speak with a stranger, even if their words are too truthful and they’re only interested because my thrall has taken hold.
