Successful Workshop

Metamorphosis Literary Agency's "How to lead the reader to the climax of your book workshop!" Begin by reading https://awriterofhistory.com/2015/09/01/write-away-advice-from-elizabeth-george/ and https://www.brainpickings.org/2016/03/28/annie-dillard-writing-the-abundance/ for starters. Then start thinking of plot twists and inner main character turmoil as stairs to the mountain you're climbing (and there better be missteps with pebbles cascading down the cliff - clink, clink, echo, boom). The protagonist has so many levels but never ever forget your antagonist! Reach beyond your comfort zone, try different styles of writing, leave breadcrumbs not clues, and makes us laugh & cry at the same time. Easy, right? Find writing companions. This not only makes it less lonely but if they're valuable, can save you from the worst mistakes. Read and know your genre. Above all else, you must write! http://www.mcckc.edu/events/lv-literary/
